The text is not completely clear. That's why we're having this discussion. But yes, it could be additive. But it seems too strong to make it additive. It only takes one die pip to get a cube on the outdoor activity, but generally three or more for a cube on a delayed effect card, plus requiring that you actually activate that card and have a dude there. Given that the outdoor activity allows you to put a cube on a card that you're not activating, and don't have a dude on, it seems overpowered to say that it's also additive. But I agree a strict reading of the rules makes it sound additive.

If you're moving your knight, you wouldn't pay one pip to drop a cube there, knowing that you can later convert it to a cube on a card where you don't have a dude, and would have required more pips to put a cube there even if you had a dude there? Seems reasonable to me. But again, I'm not sure. Maybe it is additive, and maybe it's really good intentionally.

I missed that. Oops. I thought they were specifically for outdoor activities. And thus number of cubes on outdoor activities was limited to those big cubes. Glad I got set straight on that!
