I'm not following it entirely. There are components (not just the rule book) with misprints? I can live with different dice sizes (easy fix) and different card backs (not really a problem for game play to me), but are some of the cards themselves incorrect?

But I think that you are missing a point here. The community of gamers is way too forgiving IMO

Misprints and errors happen - the question is: how will the publisher handle this situation?

I'm not forgiving the error at all. I think it's egregious that this error persists after numerous print runs. It's inexcusable. The statement these errors make about quality control is almost laughable. It's almost as if there isn't any QC whatsoever. My question was concerning whether or not I needed to adjust my understanding of some cards due to the errors. Thankfully I do not.

What will the publisher do to fix it? Likely nothing. They haven't any other time so why would they start now? The best you can hope for is for the errors to be fixed in subsequent print runs - but given the current track record I wouldn't hold my breath. For errors or for any sort of consistent reprints. The reprint relative to the demand was woefully horrendous. I know they don't want to print more than they can sell, but selling out in 48 hours suggests a total lack of understanding regarding the market for this. They literally lost money. Now the aftermarket will profit handsomely where the publisher probably could have printed 3 to 4 times as many copies and still sold them all in record time.

Part of me says, "don't look a gift horse in the mouth." Be glad the reprinted it at all, be glad you got a copy - warts and all. But the errors in both forecasting the demand for this (and disappointing long-waiting customers) and blatantly obvious editing errors really says volumes about the company as a whole.

But hey, it's out there. And maybe in a few months people will get another 48 hour window to buy it again.
