Stone Age expansion has the same "wild card" mechanism. Just don't like this idea in a competitive game. The idea IS to keep resources or actions away from your opponents. If given Free choices, it weakens this type of interaction...
Use your powers of persuasion to convince the other players not to choose your dice when they can pick other dice with better options...connive your way through the mire that is Troyes.
Good review, I just don't like the "unblockable" option.
