Troyes is i in my top 5 games of all time. With the expansion it grew even more in my heart!
But...
In my opinion Fort (level III red activity card) could be a little overpowered when compared to other level III activity cards (base game or expansion ones), because if it grants victory points (VPs) AND influence points (IPs) in the same activation (not even counting the 3 extra VPs for the majority of cubes there at the end of the game). Yes, I know the game always offer other nice combos to try out, but those usually demands more "interlocking pieces" working together, while, imo, the Fort card works like a total combo in its own, which I find very simple/uninteresting and somewhat overpowered.
So I propose te next variant: for each 1,2 or 3 value die you use to activate Fort, you gain either 1 VP or 1 IP; for each 4,5 or 6 value die you use, you gain either 2 VPs or 2 IPs.
Would it be too much of a change?
