I just played my first game using the Ladies of Troyes expansion, and there was some confusion about Level 3 outdoor activities.Do these give _extra_ dice or do they allow you to re-roll dice you already have? The cards use the same 'reroll' symbol as the player aids use the the 'use 1 point of influence to reroll', and the bold part of the ruledescription, says "before execution an action, discard at cube from this activity to reroll a die in the color indicated on the ourdoor activity". This all implies a reroll.
However the rules then go on to say that you take this die from the general supply and that you don't need to use it immediately etc. which impleis that it is an extra die.
We played as if you got extra dice, but this quickly seemed very overpowered. At the very least, once you get to this space on the ramparts, you just fill the nr 3 action with cubes, which at the very least will give you lots of 'free' dice to move further along the ramparts (and placing cubes on all the other outdoor activities). This was especially bad in combination with the level 4 outdoor activity where you get victory points for all the cubes you've placed on the activity.
