The description text of Posession says "When a player places a cube on the Event card, he must liberate a citizen of his choice". True, "the neutral player" also is "a player", but, on the other hand, he cannot make choices (I suppose, if we were to simulate it by randomizing, the manual would tell us so, hence my question).
Anyway, thanks for the reply, your suggestion seems to straighten things quite a bit.
